David

David’s appreciation for the study of American music has helped him become one of most versatile musicians, composers, and educators. He is an award winning guitarist, songwriter, and producer who is flexible in teaching all styles.

A central Illinois native, David completed his Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and has played music around the Mid-west for numerous years. He spent time in St. Louis with his rock band and contributed as a guitarist, co-producer, and co-songwriter.

He moved to the Rocky Mountains to be a music instructor at Front Range Community College. He has continued to write, perform, and co-produce with various groups. After relocating to Los Angeles for his DMA, he joined The Royal Music Academy to provide instruction for our diligent and talented students. He has taught guitar to students of all ages throughout the neighborhoods of Beverly Hills, Hancock Park, West Hollywood, Glendale, Downtown, West LA, Silver Lake, and more.

“I enjoy playing the guitar because no other instrument is more accessible and diverse in technique, sound, and style. The instrument always keeps me humble. Music is everything and sharing knowledge with the next generation of musicians has to be the most satisfying job in the world.”
